Eradicating garbage larvae: 3 effective methods for a clean environment

Discover how to stop the infestation of white grubs in your garbage by adopting simple and practical tips to stop the fly cycle.

Effective tips for eliminating larvae and preventing their reappearance

  1. Vinegar: a powerful natural solution

If you want to get rid of the larvae quickly, start by  thoroughly cleaning your bin . Use a garden hose or a  bucket of hot water  to rinse the inside.

Next, mix equal parts  white vinegar and water  in a spray bottle and generously spray  the inside and outside of your bin .  The vinegar smell repels flies , preventing them from laying eggs again.

For increased effectiveness, add  a few drops of lemon or eucalyptus essential oil , which have proven repellent properties.

  1. Newspaper: a simple method against humidity and odors

Flies are  attracted to damp organic waste . Wrapping  food scraps in newspaper  helps  absorb moisture  and  reduce odors  that attract insects.

This method is  particularly effective  for  protein-rich waste  (meat, fish, dairy products), which gives off a  strong odor  as it decomposes.
